Black Site Solid Carbon Fiber Sake Cup / Shot Glass
Details
This is the epitomy of our slogan, Carbon Fiber is the New Black. This ultra high-end sake cup/shot glass is made from one solid piece of carbon fiber that is 2 inches thick. That's 80 layers of carbon fiber! The carbon fiber is then ground down to create the shape. It is then given a special food-safe coating that has be applied at 400 degrees F making it completely safe to eat with, though we recommend washing by hand. These are limited, and once all material is gone, these will be gone.
What goes into making something like this? The solid carbon fiber block (which costs $800 sq/ft) has to be machined for about 2 and a half hours into its basic shape using special tooling consisting of diamond coated cutting bits. Then about 2 hours of hand-labor is required to complete the final shape and finish.
